Homework and Online Learning Resources

Homework is set on Thursdays and must be returned on the following Tuesday. Reading books come in on Thursday.

 

There are also a variety of different websites which children can use to practise their skills:

 

Reading Eggs

This is a great website to practise reading in a fun way. Children in Maple have logons to reading eggs. The site can be accessed here.

 

Phonics Play

To access a range of games to support your child's learning of phonics go to Phonics Play. Phonics pay have made all their resources free for the time being by using the username: march 20 and the password: home. This is a great resource for supporting the teaching of reading. 

 

Times Tables

At www.timestables.co.uk your child can easily practise all of their tables. The arithmetic problems are clear and simple, just select one of the times tables you wish to practise and show what you can do on the speed test, multiplication tables check or print out great worksheets.

BBC Bitesize

BBC Bitesize www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/primary is available to support children in the Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.  Bitesize is the BBC's free online study support resource for school-age children in the United Kingdom.

 

BBC Supermovers

BBC Supermovers is filled with fun curriculum linked resources to get your child moving while they learn.  The website www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers offers easy-to-follow active learning videos across a wide range of subjects!

 

Pobble

Pobble www.pobble365.com/ is a website that provides a range of visual images, alongside  a variety of comprehension and literacy activities.
