Collective Worship
We take part in Collective worship daily at 8.50am.
Our Collective Worship can be the whole school community together or in smaller Key Stage or class groups. Sometimes our Collective Worship takes place outside under our reflection tree - particularly in Summer months.
Currently, on a Monday morning we take part in Collective Worship all together and is a valuable start to our week. We are very lucky to have Open the Book visit us on a Tuesday, where the volunteers and children from our school, reenact stories from the Bible which help us think about the impact on our own lives. On a Wednesday we sing together as a whole school, reflecting upon the words of the songs. On a Thursday we use Picture News to help us think about the world around us and on a Friday we end the week with a celebration worship - where we celebrate how everyone has 'let their light shine' all week.
Our Collective Worship provides children and adults with a wealth of spiritual experiences linked to our definition of spirituality, including ourselves, others, nature and God and includes Local, National and World events.
Our children, staff and visitors evaluate our Collective Worship and this is monitored by the Senior Leadership Team regularly.
