Homework and Online Learning Resources

Homework

Please read every day at home and try to practise on Times Tables Rock Stars every day, and Reading Eggs at least once a week. Your username and password has been sent home on paper; if you do not have it, please email sycamore@grove.oxon.sch.uk .

 

Maths and spelling homework will be sent home on a Thursday and needs to be returned by the following Thursday please. This will also be set online through Class Dojo, with paper copies provided if you are unable to access it. 

 

In the event of a further school or class closure, all children will work from home with access to their learning through Teams and Class Dojo. We will be using Teams in school this term so children will learn how to log in and use the resources.

BBC Bitesize lessons

These excellent lessons, with videos and games, are a great way to practise or catch up on English and Maths. BBC You will find lessons and resources for other subjects, like science, at www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/primary .

 

Oak National Academy

A wide range of lessons, with videos of teachers, worksheets and quizzes, that cover the whole curriculum.

 

White Rose Maths

These maths mastery resources have lots of videos that explain different maths strategies.

 

Classroom Secrets

Classroom Secrets is a great website, which provides free home learning packs.  They have created resource packs for each year group to help support your child’s learning at home.

 

Times Tables

At www.timestables.co.uk your child can easily practise all of their tables. The arithmetic problems are clear and simple, just select one of the times tables you wish to practise and show what you can do on the speed test, multiplication tables check or print out great worksheets.

 

BBC Supermovers

BBC Supermovers is filled with fun curriculum linked resources to get your child moving while they learn. 

 

BBC Newsround

BBC Newsround keeps young viewers up to date with the latest stories and events happening at home and abroad.  It’s the home of fun topical quizzes and the place where your child can watch the latest edition of the show!

 

Pobble

Pobble is a website that provides a range of visual images, alongside  a variety of comprehension and literacy activities.
